This is our 2nd visit to this charming gite and it has been especially enjoyable to renew contact with our generous and delightful hosts and their two lovely daughters. All the advantages of this superb setting have been enjoyed to the full – the pool, the lovely gardens etc. Add to this the beauties of Perigord Vert, and the superb food, and we have the ideal formula for an unforgettable holiday.

What a lovely place. Great for kids and oldies too. Sunny weather, BBQs, and visits to Brantome created a perfect relaxing summer break. Would we come again? Yes! Lovely hosts so welcoming – loved the pool and all the surroundings. Our two black Labradors settled very quickly and loved their romps around the fields and swimming in the lake was a bonus. Thank you for a wonderful week.

La Lavande has been great. Along with the great and friendly welcome and the fantastic gardens we have had a great time. Perfect for us and our 8 and 4 year old boys. It’s also in a great spot for getting out and about. Did the Velorail which was really good fun. The Plan D`eau at Nantheuil was a great lake with a lovely sandy beach; great for children, with a lovely play area and snack bar. Canoeing at Brantome was really good, we did the 8km one, which took a couple of hours and was fine for the boys even though Ben’s is 4.5 (supposed to be 5). St Jean de Cole is beautiful; we had a fabulous meal there on our last night at Hotel de St Jean with another family from the gites. We got the 30 euros meal, which in the end gave you 5 courses as they gave you extra and it was the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Thanks for a fantastic week; I can definitely see us returning sometime in the future
